Details
Sticks and stones and other sharp, pointy objects won’t stop Continental’s Touring Plus tire. It's armed with Continental’s stalwart Plus flat protection system, a tough sub-tread that prevents punctures. This layer is highly elastic as well, so that the ride remains light and lively. And, nighttime rides just got safer, with Continental's Reflex sidewall striping for high visibility when the sun goes down.
Between the tread and the carcass, a thick layer of highly elastic rubber is used to defy foreign objects from entering the tire. The consistency has been adjusted so the breaker provides optimal flat protection without giving a spongy feeling in the corners.

Comments:
Bought this tire to replace the rear Kenda Quik Trax that came on the Cannondale Quick 4. Caught a piece of sliver rock that cut right through the center rib of the tire tread and punctured the tube...with only 600 miles of riding. Doesn't give me a lot of confidence as the tread wears down. :(
