Plain Dealer: Tipoff - A physical education

From Michael K. McIntyre's Tipoff column from the May 24, 2010 edition of the Plain Dealer:

A physical education: Bay High School students take bicycling seriously. On Friday, 264 students and 21 staffers rode their bikes to school for the end of the Bay Bike to School Challenge.

Mayor Deborah Sutherland told the kids they were an inspiration and vowed to bike to work more. Over the three weeks of the challenge, the kids biked almost 8,000 miles collectively and saved more than $1,000 in gas.

That ought to cover phys ed for next year, too.
