Jef Mallett, author of the nationally syndicated "Frazz" comic strip, will speak, sign books and meet fans at 7 tonight in Rocky River.

Mallett, an avid cyclist and author of "Trizophrenia: Inside the Minds of a Triathlete," will raffle an original "Frazz" strip for the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association's "Trails Forever" legacy fund.

Mallett, of Lansing, Mich., has been competing in triathlons since 1981.

"Frazz" runs in the Plain Dealer, the Akron Beacon Journal and 160 other newspapers. The main character is Edwin "Frazz" Frazier, a 30ish school custodian who loves bicycling, songwriting and triathlons.

Go figure.

Mallett calls his creation, "the voice of reason, the voice of experience, and, frequently, the voice of temptation."
