Medina Gazette: Ready To Ride

May 1, 2013

Scan of May 1, 2013 Medina Gazette article

Jacob Chrise and Blake Hosta, both 12, are ready to ride after getting their bikes checked out at the Medina Bicycle Fair on Tuesday at Clagget Middle School's gym, 420 E. Union St., Medina. Residents were invited to bring their bicycles for a free safety inspection, courtesy of Century Cycles mechanics Chris Walters and Don Barnett. From left, Jacob, Blake, Walters and Barnett. The fair is in preparation for the second annual Medina Bike to School Challenge, sponsored by Century Cycles Monday to May 24. The challenge strives to inspire more than 1,800 students at A.I. Root and Clagget middle schools to ride their bikes to school as much as possible for three weeks -- to improve their health, help the environment, inspire the community to use a bicycle for short trips around town, have fun and win prizes.
