Medina Gazette: Ladies Night at Century Cycles

More than 40 people attended Medina Century Cycles' Ladies Night on Feb. 19 as Jackie Baker from Giant Bicycles conducted a women's bicycling clinic. Baker grew up in Medina County. She is a former mountain bike pro and tours the United States leading bike clinics and coaching women bicyclists of all skill levels.

RIGHT: At the clinic, Baker, left, met with Jo Laird, of Medina. The mother of two teenagers, Laird is planning to do the Pan Ohio Hope Ride in July, a 328-mile bicycle ride to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society in memory of her husband, who died from testicular cancer.
