Peninsula

We are located on State Route 303 right in the middle of the village of Peninsula, next to the railroad tracks and the Winking Lizard Tavern, and walking distance from the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail (exit at Lock 29), in the scenic Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We can be conveniently reached from State Route 8 or Interstate 271 (see directions below).

This store is located on the Adventure Cycling Association's Underground Railroad Bicycle Route and the Ohio to Erie Trail. We are a member of the Peninsula Area Chamber of Commerce, and a Member Bicycle Shop of the Adventure Cycling Association and Bike Cleveland.

Bike Rentals

We have comfort hybrid bicycles for rent by the hour at this location only. Rental hours begin at the store opening time; bikes must be returned before the store closing time. Rentals not returned before the store closing time will be charged a late fee. The last time that we let rentals go out is 90 minutes before the store closing time. We also have electric bicycles and fat/snow bikes for rent by the hour.

Parking

Limited parking is available at the store. Please park beyond the end of the building in the open area between the railroad tracks and the river. Please do not park in the driveway adjacent to the front door, delivery door, or rental barn; you will be blocking the doors and preventing other customers from entering or exiting the parking lot.

Please note that all on-street parking in the Village of Peninsula is now paid parking using the PayByPhone app. Please do not park in the Winking Lizard Tavern or Fisher's Cafe & Pub parking lots.

Free parking is available at the Lock 29 Trailhead, located a short walk from the store at 1648 Mill St W, Peninsula, OH 44264. If this lot is full, there is an overflow parking lot just a bit further up Mill Street, on the left across from Terry Lumber & Supply.

Restrooms

Our shop is in a historic building dating back to 1893. As such, our plumbing and sanitation facilities to not meet local codes for public use. Sorry for the inconvenience! Public restrooms and a drinking fountain are located at the Lock 29 Trailhead. If you are renting bikes, you will pass by the restroom on the way from our store to the trail. HINT: If you are driving a long distance to get here, park at Lock 29 so you can stop at the restrooms right away! It's a short walk from there to our store.
